This enormous 4-meter (13-foot) sturgeon was seen in the Kennebec River, Maine, a reminder of the incredible giants that still roam our waters. The largest ever recorded was a Beluga sturgeon caught in the Volga estuary in 1827, measuring 7.2 meters (24 feet) and weighing over 1.5 tons (3,463 lbs).
