Divine Creator, Source of all life and harmony,
We come together in unity, hearts filled with compassion and hope,
To lift our prayers for Los Angeles,
For its land, its people, and all beings affected by the wildfires.
We ask for the gentle blessing of rain,
A rain that soothes the flames, cools the earth, and restores balance.
Let the skies open with abundant showers of life-giving water,
To cleanse the air, nourish the soil, and bring peace to the land.
May the winds calm and carry not destruction,
But healing and comfort to every corner.
May the courageous firefighters and responders be strengthened and protected,
As they dedicate themselves to safeguarding lives and homes.
We hold in our hearts the animals who flee,
The trees and plants that stand vulnerable,
And every soul touched by this fire.
Wrap them all in your infinite love and grace.
May this fire awaken us to our shared responsibility
To care for the earth, to honor her sacred balance,
And to walk more gently in harmony with nature.
We give thanks for the rain that is on its way,
For the renewal and healing that will follow.
May peace return to the hills and valleys,
And may Los Angeles rise again, vibrant and whole.
