Between sightings of the aurora borealis, the solar eclipse , supermoons and plenty of other skyward phenomena, there was something spectacular in the sky to observe throughout 2024! It's apparent that 2025 has a strong start, too, with a planet parade just a few weeks into the new year. 🪐
A planet parade is when several of our solar system's planets are visible in the night sky at the same time, which include Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune and Uranus (a telescope 🔭 will be needed to view the latter two as they are not visible with the naked eye). Formally beginning on January 21st, this planet parade will endure well into February, providing ample opportunity to view this celestial display. 🌌
