In a shocking wave of fallout after the tragic murder of conservative firebrand Charlie Kirk on September 10th, a string of public figures found themselves out of jobs for cheering or mocking his death online. From MSNBC analyst Matthew Dowd to an assistant dean at Middle Tennessee State University and even a Cincinnati barbecue co-owner, Aaron Sharpe, their callous social media posts sparked swift backlash, costing them their positions. The uproar mirrors the public’s reaction to the 2024 Trump assassination attempt, with USC professor Karen North warning that reckless online comments can torch careers. Meanwhile, Turning Point USA hailed Kirk as a fearless leader and mentor, urging supporters to rally in prayer for his grieving family.

Would you agree with the actions taken against those who had publicly celebrated Kirk's murder? Share your thoughts in the comments. 👇

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama has appointed Diella—the world's first AI-powered virtual minister—to oversee all public procurement, aiming to eliminate corruption and enhance transparency in a sector long criticized by the EU. Named after the Albanian word for "sunshine," Diella will evaluate tenders, recruit global talent, and ensure decisions are made outside traditional ministries, rendering processes "100 percent incorruptible and legible," according to Rama. The move follows Rama's summer musings on AI governance and builds on Albania's digital e-Albania platform.

What potential problems might ensue from granting power of this degree to Artificial Intelligence? Share your thoughts below. ⬇️

✨ The Psychology of Trusting Your Gut

"Trust your hunches. They're usually based on facts filed away just below the conscious level."

The old saying "follow your gut" refers to trusting your feelings or your intuition. These gut feelings occur when your brain makes a substantial match or mismatch between past experiences and current experiences. We notice patterns through past experiences, store these patterns and associated information into long-term memory, and then retrieve the information when we see these patterns again in our everyday experience. To use and trust our gut feelings, we need practice. Our gut feelings are only as good as the patterns we draw them from.

Do you think intuition is strictly based on a collection of experiences, or could it be something more? Share your ideas below. 👇

In a fiery uprising that shook Nepal to its core, Generation Z protesters unleashed chaos in Kathmandu, torching the parliament building and homes of top officials, including former Prime Minister Jhala Nath Khanal’s residence, where his wife was trapped inside. The violent clashes, sparked by a government ban on social media platforms like Facebook, X, and YouTube, left at least 19 dead and hundreds wounded. Despite the ban’s reversal, the enraged youth, decrying rampant corruption, stormed prisons and forced Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to resign. Nepal’s army chief warned of military intervention as the nation teetered on the brink, with black smoke choking the skies over the Singha Durbar palace complex.

Can the reversal of the social media ban restore calm, or has the trust between the government and citizens been irreparably broken? Let us hear your thoughts below. 👇

New York City public schools are prioritizing ideology over education, leaving kids in the dust. While schools push progressive agendas like social-emotional learning and culturally responsive curricula, test scores remain abysmal—only 27% of eighth graders are proficient in reading, and 23% in math. The Department of Education is chasing trends like "equity" and "diversity" while neglecting core academic skills. With a $40 billion budget, the system’s focus on feel-good initiatives and teacher union demands is failing students, especially low-income ones, who are stuck in a cycle of underachievement. This is a fiery wake-up call to refocus on what matters: teaching kids to read, write, and think critically.

Should parents and communities have more influence over school priorities to counter centralized ideological trends? Share your opinion below. ⬇️

The U.S. labor market is hitting the brakes, with job growth sputtering and the unemployment rate climbing to a near four-year high of 4.3% in August, according to a Reuters report. The economy added a mere 22,000 jobs, far below expectations, while June saw its first job losses since 2020. Economists point fingers at President Trump's tariffs, immigration crackdowns, and federal job cuts, which are strangling hiring and fueling fears of economic stagnation. With the Federal Reserve poised for a likely interest rate cut this month, the labor market's slowdown—marked by longer unemployment spells and fewer opportunities—has Wall Street on edge and recession whispers growing louder.

How significantly do you think President Trump's tariffs are contributing to the labor market's slowdown, and could this measure have unintended long-term consequences? Let us hear your thoughts below. 👇

A Blood Moon Approaches: How to Spot the Total Lunar Eclipse

On September 7, the moon will step into Earth’s shadow and emerge stained in deep red, hence the term “blood moon.” It’s the second total lunar eclipse of 2025, and if the weather plays friendly, roughly 77 percent of the planet’s population will bear witness to the spectacle.

The best seats are in Asia and Western Australia, where the entire eclipse will be visible from start to finish. Viewers in Europe, Africa, eastern Australia, and New Zealand may still catch totality—the 82 minutes when the moon sits fully in Earth’s umbra, the shadow’s dark inner core—but it depends on when the moon rises in your sky. In some European cities, it will climb over the horizon already glowing deep red, an entrance more dramatic than most sunrises.
