Japan develops plastic that disappears within hours in the sea and boosts soil health.

Scientists at Japan's RIKEN Center for Emergent Matter Science have pioneered a game-changing biodegradable plastic that dissolves in seawater within hours, drastically mitigating pollution risks.

Unlike traditional plastics, which take centuries to decompose and accumulate in oceans and ecosystems, this innovative material breaks down in:

- Just a few hours in seawater

- 10 days in soil

When discarded in soil, this biodegradable plastic transforms into organic matter, enriching soil fertility and increasing carbon content.

Unlike conventional plastics, it doesn't release carbon dioxide during decomposition, supporting climate change mitigation efforts.

Additional Benefits:

- Fully recyclable, reducing reliance on new plastic production

- Non-toxic ingredients ensure a safer environment

This Japanese innovation has the potential to revolutionize various industries, including packaging, medical devices, and industrial applications.

With its rapid decomposition, eco-friendly ingredients, and recyclability, this breakthrough biodegradable plastic brings us closer to a cleaner, more sustainable planet.
