I think different methodologies will resonate with different personality types, so I think that a variety of alternate options is good, when it comes to tools for enlightenment. I have learned and used quite a few different methodologies and gone through several great courses. A couple of them were truly powerful. The mass consciousness desperately needs an awakening.

Thanks for your comments Tony. Yes, our collective consciousness is in dire need of ascension. One of the main reasons why I posed that question is that a "Course in Miracles" says that forgiveness is key. But in my life - especially during the last few years - I would see that the people in my life who caused me significant pain have closed minds like a steel trap door that cannot ever be opened, they have zero desire to learn and change, and they are ignorant beyond belief... which indicates to me that they will not change their ways in this lifetime. I could not see how forgiveness could help me or them, if they will continue their infuriating tormenting ways, and since I cannot avoid interactions with these psychotic lunatics.

I find it hard to grasp how some people never seem to be able to open their minds to consider things other than what they have always believed... no matter how much information or evidence you present them with, and even if a loved-one might be harmed if they get it wrong. My narcissist psychotic sister being a perfect example of that. Such people will almost certainly not change during this lifetime, as their minds remain closed shut like a steel trap door that cannot ever be opened, and they also can never admit that they were ever wrong.
