And experience what they need to experience in order to be done and to no longer want to experience that experience if that makes sense.. bottom line is the person has to be ready. You cannot force or do anything for anybody. He has to want it and he has to do the work to get there. If he's not willing to put in work and figure out what he needs to do to stop doing Imodium or any other drug that he is having trouble putting down then he is not ready for sobriety or recovery. It's all a hymn type thing and it's all a personal thing. Medicine is never going to help it may put a Band-Aid on the wound for a minute or take a little bit of stress off of the pain but in the long run it is a interpersonal spiritual type problem that has to be dealt with internally.
