●Good judgment is what sets apart great leaders from the rest, say Noel Tichy and Warren Bennis. It's about using one's personal qualities and experiences to make sound choices when the information isn't black and white. The most difficult aspect to wrap your head around is that we human have been brain washed for a good century now and multiple narratives have been formed to control certain outcomes and revelations within societies. It's time to take our power back and start thinking for ourselves again!! If you claim to be an independent person then you must grapple with the idea that you can make your own opnion based decisions and after doing so being completely okay with the outcome. For so long we have been asking people to think for us because we were manipulated and tricked into believing we had to. Don't let the schemes trick you out of your spot!! Today, narratives are being broken down and belief systems are being destroyed and rewritten. We write our own stories now and we create our very own self sufficient ideology of this or of that because we are independent entities and do not need anyone or anything to think for us.. sorry psychopaths but WE GOT THIS!!
●The definition of good judgment as a combination of deep experience, analytical abilities, and innate intuition makes sense at a high level but lacks practical guidance on how to acquire such skillset. Despite recognizing its importance in decision-making processes, developing this proficiency remains challenging for many individuals due to its intangible characteristics.I’ve found that leaders with good judgment tend to be good listeners and readers—able to hear what other people actually mean, and thus able to see patterns that others do not. They have a breadth of experiences and relationships that enable them to recognize parallels or analogies that others miss—and if they don’t know something, they’ll know someone who does and lean on that person’s judgment. They can recognize their own emotions and biases and take them out of the equation. They’re adept at expanding the array of choices under consideration. Finally, they remain grounded in the real world: In making a choice they also consider its implementation. Leaders with good judgment tend to possess a unique combination of skills and traits. They are adept at listening and reading people, able to decipher the true intentions behind words and actions. This allows them to recognize patterns that others may miss, enabling them to make more informed decisions. Additionally, they have an extensive range of experiences and relationships which provides them access sublime analogies relevant to their decision-making process., Leaders with good judgement also demonstrate remarkable self awareness recognizing how their own emotional states bias their reasoning so as not allow these factors unduly influence important choices; instead relying upon dependable confidants when necessary while considering all available options before making up mind.
●Transforming knowledge into understanding is essential for sound decision-making, but it's hampered by leaders who don't critically evaluate the information they receive or read.Unfortunately, few individuals thoroughly absorb the information they are given. This is because we have a natural inclination to disregard data that contradicts our beliefs or falls outside of our expectations, which only intensifies as people get older (with studies revealing that younger minds are more perceptive). Owing to their heightened self-assurance owing to previous achievements, even top performers frequently fall victim to this lackadaisical attitude toward knowledge acquisition, causing them to unintentionally ignore vital cues.
●People with sound judgment are dubious of information that lacks logical coherence. If it weren't for a Soviet lieutenant colonel named Stanislav Petrov, we might not be here today. In 1983, as the duty officer at the USSR's missile tracking center, Petrov was informed by Soviet satellites of a supposed US missile attack on the Soviet Union. He decided that the 100% probability reading was suspiciously high and didn't pass it up the chain of command as he should have done but instead made a gut feeling call that probably saved the entire world from being blown up. When things are obvious or don't feel right they usually aren't right!! So, go with your intuition as an old friend has suggested. 💯 To improve active listening, focus on nonverbal cues, question conclusions, manage emotions, prioritize key information when overwhelmed with documentation, verify data quality, consider diverse perspectives, detect inconsistencies, and use reliable metrics. When seeking advice, it is important to look beyond the surface level and consider what is not being said. Pay attention to those things and don't simply assume that someone who disagrees with you is wrong. They may actually be challenging your beliefs and helping you grow in a new way. Assess your ability to draw on personal experience in decision-making by reviewing past judgments, identifying successes and failures, and evaluating the relevance of used analogies.
●Develop a comprehensive understanding of alternative perspectives by exploring and embracing them through role-playing and simulations. This fosters an environment for constructive disagreement while encouraging employees to consider diverse viewpoints. Good judgment requires humility and an openness to alternative perspectives. By admitting the possibility of error and actively seeking out diverse viewpoints, individuals and organizations can avoid costly missteps or complet failure. Improve decision-making by seeking clarification on unclear details, challenging assumptions based on insufficient data points while considering alternative perspectives offered after removing any bias towards specific outcomes. In evaluating a proposal, it is essential to ensure that the experiences of those recommending the investment align with the context of the project. If they cite previous work, request explanations for its relevance to the current situation.
●●●Ending thoughts: Effective leaders possess various qualities, but sound judgment is the foundation for all others. Ambition without judgment leads to financial ruin, while charisma without judgment results in misguided followers. Passion without judgment causes aimless pursuits, and drive without judgment leads to early risings for fruitless endeavors.
●A SIMPLIFIED VERSION OF HOW TO THINK FOR YOURSELF: HAVE CONFIDENCE IN YOUR DECISIONS AND DO NOT SECOND GUESS. DO NOT LOOK FOR VALIDATION OR TRY TO FIT IN AND JUST GO WITH THE CROWD. IF WE WANT REAL LASTING CHANGE WE HAVE TO BECOME INDEPENDENT UPON USING OUR OWN MINDS AGAIN. OUR PSYCHE WAS HIGH-JACKED AND NOW WE HAVE IT BACK.. LETS DO SOMETHING GOOD WITH IT..LETS CHANGE THE WORLD. THINK FOR YOURSELF!!! MAKE YOUR OWN DAMN JUDGMENT. DONT LET THIS CHANCE TO TRULY LIBERATE HUMANITY SLIP AWAY!! YOU GOT THIS!! WE GOT THIS!!

Polarization...how do we stop the Everlasting comparison game we play in unknowingly..? Or is this just the way things are going to be and have to be..? I wonder on other planets and in different parts of the Universe if they also have a polarized reality..? 🤔🤔🤔 Thoughts and opinions?
