If everybody in city's started work at different times like 8 9 10 and finished at 4 5 6 you would get 2/3 of the car's off the road at one time so less gas and time to get to work and you would not need all the new roads

If the government built it's own roads you would save 60% of the cost as that's the contractors profit just to start with IT would cost the same as getting the gear and no one loses their jobs they just move Jobs

If the government had it's own banks supermarket changed and gas station insurance company you could cut taxes and every job you creat you save the benefits and you get taxes the insurance company you could use as a retirement fund

Just checked out how long it takes to fly from LA to London it's 10h 25 m and from London to LA was 11h 15 m so the world is spinning

You should be able to tell if the Earth is flat and spinning one way were you are going is moving away and the other way it's getting closer so flight times should differ on witch way you are going
