I know we are told that forgiveness is the answer, I know that the horrors in this world are just a dream that we will awaken from. Yet I just don't think that we need to go through prolonged suffering. Most bullies and cruel people who commit horrific crimes against innocent good people do not change in one lifetime. Some of them won't change after 50 lifetimes. So to speed up their evolution, I think sometimes the only way to wake them up is to get them to experience the cruelty that they inflict on others. One cannot empathize with what they have not experienced. If we are expected to forgive cruel people who cause us pain and suffering, we should expect to be forgiven until we get to the point where we can respond to cruelty with kindness. Jesus Christ was crucified thousands of years ago, yet still to this day ignorant people crucify the son of God each day in our world. The war mongers still create "bankers wars" for profit. Big pharma, big food, vaccine makers, hospitals and others still poison children, the elderly and pregnant mothers each day. Violent gangs still rape and murder young girls. Such cruel people and other such bullies do not respect kindness or change their ways because of it. Tough love appears to be the only way for such people.
