If eggs are a breakfast staple in your home, here's something to check right away: Over 6 million eggs from Black Sheep Egg Company and Kenz Henz are being recalled after tests uncovered seven strains of salmonella at an Arkansas facility. These eggs hit stores in Arkansas, Missouri, Texas, California, Indiana, and beyond—as recently as September 17, 2025—with best-by dates up to October 31.
The bacteria can trigger uncomfortable symptoms like diarrhea, fever, and vomiting, kicking in 6 hours to 6 days after eating, and it hits harder for kids under 5, seniors over 65, or anyone with a weakened immune system. Thankfully, no illnesses have been reported so far.
To stay safe, toss any matching eggs, give your fridge a quick wipe-down, and chat with your doctor if symptoms pop up. Full details are on the FDA recall page. Better safe than sorry—your morning scramble will thank you! 🍳
