Hunger is something we shouldn’t even be able to create statistics on.
Yet MILLIONS of people don’t have enough food to eat Every. Single. Day.
In 2023, Canada saw over 20 million visits to the food bank, and facilities struggled to keep up with the rising demand.
More than 44 million people in the United States face hunger each year as well…
1 in 5 of those being CHILDREN!
The US and Canada combined for over 120 million tons of food wasted each year alone.
And that’s not to mention the starvation seen around the rest of the world.🌍
Collectively, we need to do better!
This month for UNIFYD’s Pay It Forward initiative, our very own Amanda from Alberta, Canada chose to put food in the bellies of hungry children who belong to a single mother that didn’t even have her own bed. She was struggling hard to feed her kids and receiving help from the local friendship center.
No one should have to worry about their next meal. If you are able, consider donating to your local food bank to help a family in need!
